Roadkill Dust Suppressant is applied as a straight oil. When this product is applied over a 50/50 mix of loose stone and dust, it will eliminate your dust and bind your stone forming a hard smooth surface. For most customers, a single application will last over 1 year. Coverage rates can vary with surface characteristics, but average application rate is about 1 gallon per 50 square feet. You can apply it with our pump and garden hose method for smaller applications. For larger jobs, you can use any pressure spraying device you have access to.
Dustknocker Dust Suppressant is an eco-friendly vinyl resin dispersion that offers dust suppression equal to or better than the widely used Polyvinyl Acetate (PVA) without the environmental concerns. Dustknocker can be used in place of PVA's and other "glue-like" products. It provides excellent bonding and cohesion to the soil, along with superior environmental compliance. Dustknocker's ability to bond the surface is due to its unique polymer formulation and chemical structure, resulting in strength and rigidity by increasing the load bearing strength of all types of soils and surfaces. The solubility of Dustknocker in water makes it extremely easy to work with, and great for use with water trucks. The versatility of this multi-purpose dust suppressant makes this an excellent selection. Dustknocker is shipped as a custom blended concentrated product and applied at high dilution ratios making it extremely cost-effective. Product should be diluted with water at rates from 20:1 to 50:1.
Coverage
As with all dust suppressants, application rates and methods depend upon the site, environment, soil type, and more. Each site is unique, however averages in the field indicate roughly 50 gallons of concentrate blended 20:1 per acre for the initial application. Depending upon soil type and application technique, Dustknocker can last anywhere from 6 months to a year. Please contact your Dustkill representative for site specific recommendations.
Dustknocker Concentrate Packaging / Pricing
Dustknocker is packaged in 5 gallon containers, 55 gallon drums, and 275 gallon steel cage poly totes. Product can be shipped world wide.
Dustknocker is custom blended and priced for your project based off the following factors:
Length of time the road is needed
Frequency of travel on the road
Approximate weight of travel
*Current particle/surface grade (Sand Sieve Analysis)
*SAND SIEVE ANALYSIS
Sand Sieve Analysis is a practice or procedure used to assess the particle size distribution of granular material. The size distribution is critical in determining the type of dust suppressant needed and application rates to be used. The practice of Sieving is quick and accurate, measuring the maximum diameter of a sediment grain. There are four aspects of this proven test, including sizing, sorting, kurtosis, and skewness. After the analysis, we can determine the percent sand, silt and clay in your soil, and textural class, thereby recommended an accurate application rate and method for your needs.
